It all started with...
...Peder Anders Rød and Aqua Produkter in the beginning of the 80's, and soon he had Heidi Rød Vebenstad on the team. The main products back then was the well known simple Disc Feeder (to be attached on the rim of the fish tank), and the advanced feeding robot (on rails in the ceiling). Both of these products are an importent part of the product range even today.
In 1996 Storvik Stål bought all shares in Aqua Produkter. Two other companies also demerged in the same operation, and Storvik was established. This gave Aqua Produkter, now Aquaculture Dep. in Storvik, a greater opportunity to develop both products and new markets. The result was that new importan products was developed, the Appetite Feeder (AF) and Storvik Biomass Estimator among others, and subsidiary companies established: Storvik SA in Chile (2000) and Storvik Ltd. (2007)
Later on Storvik Holding was established, and Aquaculture Dep. float off as a separate company: Storvik Aqua AS (2008).
January 2009: Storvik Aqua AS has around 30 employees, subsidiary comapnies included.
The main office is at Sunndalsøra, store and workshop is located at Meisingset.
